my dear huang popped me a call at 12:00 on the dot!! incredibly sweeeett. =D haha. was great hearing someone chirp delightedly into my ear "HAPPY BIRTHDAY IDA!" haha. Huang and weiming both gave me a cardigan from pull and bear i've wanted for AGES. and a seemingly inappropriate card. haha but apparently huang deemed it "soo cute!" that she HAD to get it for me. my birthday eve was a fantastic day.
haha first, derrick was being so sneaky cos he left the library around lunch and told me he was going to siglap to meet a friend and wont be coming back. well. around 3 he msged to ask what time i was going to stay in school till cos he needed a favour from me. these all left me supremely puzzled. but i was clueless. he called to say he needs me to collect something so i should head down to the canteen when he calls. simultanously i received a msg from dee going "by any chance is derrick meeting ya?" haha. i was walking towards the canteen when i saw huang shouting to someone "what are you doing?!" walked closer n i saw derrick attempting to hide this giant of a balloon behind his back but to no avail. haha he was even contemplating which staircase he should take up to surprise me. he bought royce chocolates too. i love my big yellow balloon. despite how much embarrassment it caused me as it companied me back into the library and on the bus home, and how many times it bumped into my head. it actually is alot bigger than my head. hrm haha anyway kenny was apparently very amused by it. both pinquan and kenny were actually. everyone who has touched the balloon all think its incredibly hard and solid. haha. thanks derrick. for enduring stares from everyone as they doubt your sexual orientation, and taking the time off just to get it, travelling back to school to give them to me, and promising a better installment post As.

irina was playing with it before she went to bed so she left it dangling above her. in someone's words, "gives new meaning to waking up to a smile" haha.
Zhiwei was super sweet and everything. despite having to "look" for him, haha it was worth it (: i think i've blown out the most candles i've ever blown so far, during this birthday particularly. haha. thats good. i like doing so! during my birthday i mean. haha. oh well i had a lovely time last night so its good. it's been awhile since i've spent some leisure time out at night, and it was nice. haha (didn't get freaked out on the way home either ;) ) heh. hmm night view from the esplanade is lovely too. though the "band" sucked. i added the inverted commas because we felt like it was more of noise pollution actually. wonder if they could be called a band... hmm. but anyway, thanks for everything (: ran into jem and zhaoxiang at tanah merah station at bout 12am and first thing they did when they saw me was to wish me happy birthday. haha. its nice that even primary school classmates actually remember.
pinquan and kenny said they'd give me my present post As and kept saying how bad they felt everyone seems to be putting in effort for my birthday but not them. haha no worries! i still have pinquan's "masterpiece"! yes i didn't throw it away, pinquan. haha. and contrary to what you think, i do not think u're a lousy friend. haha (: decorated plane's nice!.
family had cake cutting a day earlier haha and i was honoured with a special rendition of the birthday song with dad going all opera and sisters trying to harmonise. hahaha. chocolate walnut cake is delicious. thanks mei and jie for wishing me happy birthday too. irina even msged me from school this morning to say "hey jie, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! (: " and did so on her blog too. awww (:
ben bought me an oreo cheesecake cake from the cheesecake cafe. thanks for taking the trouble! and for the birthday wishes (:

caught the video outlining the new features on it. awesomeee.
anyway, my sisters and I were talking last night.
me: oh by the way, i finally watched the video for, (hums the potential break-up song), on mtv today!
irina: oh finally huh.
me: yeah but its kinda dumb. they basically grabbed the mic and swished their hair around. how innovative. (not like i derided their efforts as childish, but c'mon, it could barely retain my attention for half a minute!)

GRADUATION DAY
yesterday was just bout the most fun i've had in awhile. considering i haven't been in school lately. i laughed the most i've had in long time. only yesterday did i realise how much i'm gonna miss the people from school. the graduation concert was a tad too much slanted towards honouring certain groups of people. derrick kept complaining to me throughout the concert, "whose graduation is it huh?? house comm? sc ah." haha.
most importantly, i received my first "half" birthday present from dee yesterday (: such a lovely surprise. and she decorated a beautiful card as usual. along with the royce chocolates! yummyy. dee's officially the sweetest person on earth. im so glad i have a best friend like her. honestly. love you dee (:
anyway, my two best friends brought their cameras to school so the bombardment of photos below are courtesy of them (:

well all in all, it was a happy day. when faye and soph was giving dee and i hugs to wish us luck for As and all that, it felt kinda sad oddly. gonna miss those girls. nvm i'll see them after As. and it was great fun going around school with dee taking random shots of places in school. despite having to risk being made the derision of the whole school. haha. watching the graduation concert with huang and derrick was great fun too. regardless of how awful the seats we had were, those two were great fun to watch the concert with. haha.
i'll miss lots of things. mainly the people i guess. its weird now tj life's supposedly over. so much has happened these two years. some i hoped took place differently. but , life isnt perfect. unconscionable demands i had to meet, but ya know life's all bout the challenges.

i LOVE friends. to DEATH.

been all too lazy to blog but thought i should just leave one before webs start forming all over the place.
i've been home quite an awful lot this week. though monday was totally unintentional.
huang: ida?
ida: -mumbles- huh? SHITTTTTT.
hahaha. apparently my mum thought perhaps i had a children's day holiday just like my younger sis did. oh well. i had an unintentional self proclaimed one. school's been pretty mundane. at least for that one full day i attended this week. kinda feel bad abandoning Huang for so many days =X sorry girl!
well nephew had his one month old birthday celebration last sunday so we had lunch at The Rice Table. the food was pretty food i gotta say. it filled me right up but didn't quite hit the spot though. my nephew's awfully teeny and according to mum, has an amazingly beautifully shaped head. well add one to the growing list of people that are supposed to call me Aunt. course if they do, i'd very well demand to be called by my name. oops i meant ask.
haven't been feeling too well the last few days so the stay at home was a welcome one. with As looming in less than a month, i'm starting to feel a lil jaded.
birthday's coming! (: but that means As are coming too. shitt.
kwann very considerately suggested i should put up a wish list on my blog.
but that's gonna take all too much effort cos if there's gonna be a top 5, I've gotta do a hell lot of shortlisting. perhaps i'd do it some other time (:

Miu Miu Bow bag
i love the colour Nudo that it comes in. sorta brown yet greyish colour.
anyway i've been watching Passport To Europe just about every afternoon these few weeks. it makes me wish i'm Samantha Brown. so. i'm thinking i'm gonna work my ass off after I return from Japan in december, plan my trip with dee to aussie then work somemore, hopefully get a chance to backpack in Europe within at least the next 5 years. oh wait. dee just had a brilliant suggestion.
